Hotel

I dreamed I was driving and approached a city, perhaps midtown or lower side, and sought and found a hotel. I knew I was there for a job, I was to stay in the hotel until I could find a place to live. I walked in it was very nice, with an open reception area kind of like a bank, there were columns and the decor was dark in browns and gold. I checked in, they gave me a mag card and I went to my room, which was down a passage behind the reception area, through some hallways and on the back part of the hotel, near a door. I went in and it was very nice in browns and greens, pretty plush with a very nice desk and a computer already in there. I left to do something and realized I'd left the mag key in the room so I went to the reception desk and got another. I had forgotten my room number so I had to try all the doors on the floor until I got to mine. In the process I'd broken the master pass key. In one of the other rooms there was a typewriter and some paper in there and nothing else, very significant. I made it to my room and retrieved my key and turned it over and the room number was on there and it read 34 and I committed to memory I was in room 34 so I wouldn't forget again. I went into my room and sat down at the computer, I think I was writing, then realized I could log onto the internet. I was torn between logging on and not logging on because I didn't know if it would cost me. I was awakened at this point by my dog wanting water. When I fell back to sleep, I was back in the same dream, but was in a cafeteria or cafe connected to the hotel. There were hundreds of tables though the room was sparsely peopled, white linen tablecloths on all the tables, I seemed to be enjoying myself. Then I was awakened by the phone.

Another King Dream ...

I dreamt that I was in a mall setting, and I was in a gris-gris kind of shop and was looking at a set of silver or pewter knives. Someone said I could have them because they belonged to my uncle. I put them back intending to get them later. Then I guess I was walking around the mall and ran into Stephen King. We talked and he followed me back to the gris-gris store and we talked some more and he had to leave. I was very sad and cried because he had to leave, it was like he was leaving the country or something. He walked out of the shop and I closed some rosewood looking blinds and was very sad. At that point I awoke.

Environmental hmmmm ...

It's odd. I dreamt I got the job Ad Hoc had called me about, with the environmental firm. I dreamt I was working for them and they were wonderful people and I was having a wonderful time, I asked them if they are pro-environmental or anti-environmental, and the guy said they are pro and I was very happy about that. The scenery was bright and uncluttered, in an upper floor of a highrise. It was very vivid and very positive.

Ghost In Walmart

At one point I dreamed it was night and I was in the parking lot of Walmart and it was kind of deserted. I was talking to someone that was out of the picture saying I wanted to see if Walmart was haunted. The person asked when I could do that when there were so many people and I said Christmas, because it's closed and there would be no people, then it was as if I was talking to a manager as I asked you would want to know if your store was haunted, wouldn't you? as if to convince him to let me investigate it. Then I had to walk home and crossed a dark country highway onto a dirt road and across two intersecting dirt roads and along the way the sides of the road were marsh and reed grew taller than me and there were little dogs out along the road and I became worried that a vehicle would come along and hit them and then I saw a pickup truck coming down the road in reverse and I knew coming backward like that he'd not see the little dogs and I moved to the side of the road to get out of his way having to part the reeds and step into the marsh and was afraid of snakes and the dogs being hit. Then fortunatly I woke up.

Odd...

I dreamt I was at work in an office doing busy things dealing with people and it was happy fun kind of work, and it came time for me to go home and I got outside just in time to see someone driving off in my mom's old brown pick up, and I called after them then called her to tell her it'd been stolen and she said " well if it's stolen, it's stolen" and I started wondering how I was going to get home, then I put the key into the lock of a blue car and it opened and I realized I'd driven in in the blue car not the truck, and I started home feeling better. The scene was a busy main street kind of setting. Then on my way home I realized I'd left my cellphone at work so I had to turn around and go get it, this time the road was isolated, running across a lake or river, and the overall coloring had a dusk, reddish tint. I got back and found my cell and started deleting calls as if I were deleting emails, and the dream faded and eventually I woke up.

Hawaii

I dreamt at some point I was in Hawaii, I woke up and it was a bright sunny day, and I dressed in the oversize shirt I always wear and went out into a parking lot and there was fencing all around, and the ocean just outside the complex. I wanted to go to the beach but for some reason didn't want to bother. Inside I heard a woman say to a man "I've never seen anyone so lazy" and my mother, who was watching the television program muttered "I know of one" talking about me and I began to get aggravated but didn't go to the beach, I appeared to be looking for something. There was a white ropey sash tied around my waist for some reason. I know in real life we just put up a fence, that's where the fencing came from, and we have to keep a set of the gates tied with white string/cord so the dogs don't get it open, and I know also my mother thinks I'm not trying hard enough to get a job and is thinking me lazy. So that pretty much sums up the dream, Hawaii is of course, my escape.

Intruders

I dreamnt I lived in an apartment, and when I'd come home from work, there would be strange men in my apartment. A different one every time I came home. They just walked around like they owned the joint and told me if I said anything to anyone they'd kill my dog. I called the police but they would do nothing. The dream was a series of me driving home, finding a man there, and trying to find a way to keep them out. Disturbing dream, really.
