Janis . . .
So me and my bff took a daytrip to see Janis Joplin's grave. For whatever reason I took Peanut with me. We were driving, in a small truck (BFF has a car) and all of a sudden she just stops on the side of a road and gets out and tells me "come on, we're here". And I look and there is a cemetery. I feel VERY sad and mournful. We started walking up the driveway and people came to meet us that also had dogs. I grabbed Peanut so she wouldn't chase, be chased, or run out in the road. Instead of looking at a grave we walk into a building, a catholic church. We're walking around and suddenly she randomly opens a door and walks in, I knew this is where Janis was buried. The room was barren, there were a few odds and end things in the room in boxes, there was dark carpeting on the floor and a woman was kneeling in front of the wall across the room. "They moved her", she said and I knew this was Janis' sister although it didn't look like her real sister nor did it sound like her, it sounded like Janis. There were a few nuns wandering around and a priest took us through some hallways. We had to go in between these things that looked like lockers to a back room and this is the saddest part, there was a toilet there and the lid was down, there was a mat on the lid with drawings and pictures on it that Janis had apparently done, and her ashes were in that toilet. Her sister was talking to us, she was continually holding a tiny little black dog that I was just enamored with. She was talking a little about Janis but mostly I was in tears in mourning.
