Sad Kitten Dream ...

I dreamed I was either coming home from somewhere and was still living with Mother or visiting her. I got out of the car, it was night, and I saw a bunch of kittens, one black, and about 5-6 white with black spots. One of them had been shot with an arrow, it was lodged in its head. I was horrified and picked it up to take it to the vet. It was still ambulatory and seemed fine except for the arrow. I saw that it had the arrow in its head and another wound that looked like it had been shot before but the arrow had somehow come out. Mother didn't seem to want me to take it to the vet, but I did it anyway. When I got to the vet it was more like an office setting, there were no other people there with pets and the space was a maze of desks and little hallways. But I finally found a woman in a lab coat with a stethoscope around her neck and showed her the kitten, because I thought it was an emergency and I didn't want to wait. She agreed and told me to go back to the waiting area with the kitten and they'd be right there. So I did and while waiting one of the people we know in Cleveland showed up, angry. That was her kitten and she didn't want it at the vet. I showed her the arrow and she still didn't want it there but I stood firm and said the arrow was going to be taken out. Then our new puppy woke me.
